Keyspot Privacy Policy

Keyspot Services is a small family business in the northwest of Western Australia. Keyspot is subject to the Australian Privacy Principles as set out in the Australian Privacy Act 1988. Keyspot is committed to protecting and respecting customer privacy associated with the collection, use and disclosure of customer's private information. By providing Keyspot with personal information, the customer agrees to, and consents to the collection, use, holding and disclosure of personal information by Keyspot as set out in this policy.

Personal Information

Keyspot may collect customer personal information in the following circumstances:

  • When selling products and services
  • Ordering items over the phone, mail, email or social media.
  • Receiving information/suggestions/complaints from customers.
  • Engraving on supplied or store-bought items
  • Customer warranty or customer care
  • Refunds or exchange of goods
  • Business referrals
  • Giftcards
  • Supplier and third-party interactions
  • Payment processing
  • Incorrect payments
  • Lay-buys, lay-aways, click-and-collect
  • Product recalls
  • Purchasing items for sale that require proof-of-age or any other identification required by law
  • Surveillance for security purposes and associated with fraud prevention, legal proceedings or as required legally by a government agency.

Incognito

It is possible to purchase goods or services from Keyspot incognito under certain circumstances. However it may be impractical to perform transactions without temporarily gathering personal details such as paying with credit cards.

For one-off transactions there may be no need for Keyspot to keep a record of customer details.

Keyspot is located within a shopping centre and Keyspot is not responsible for any cameras or monitoring equipment within the building.

Access, Update, Removing Personal information and Opting-Out

Under the requirements of the Australian Privacy Act Keyspot will supply the following when proof of identity is supplied:

  • Keyspot will provide access to any personal information it holds to the customer
  • Keyspot will update any information it holds about the customer if the information is inaccurate, out-of-date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading.
  • Keyspot will remove any personal information it holds about a customer at the customer's request if Keyspot no longer needs it for a business, government or legal purpose.

The customer may contact Keyspot by phone, email, mail or by visiting the store if they wish to register a complaint regarding this policy or about a breach of Australia's Privacy Act by Keyspot.
